Doctors
Kathryn L Gorski, D.V.M. and Owner
Dr. Gorski received her undergraduate degree from Simmons College and her Doctorate from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to traditional medicine, Dr. Gorski has studied acupuncture as a treatment option, particularly for pets with arthritis. Her other areas of special interest include geriatric wellness, feline internal medicine, dentistry and pocket pet care. In her free time, Dr. Gorski enjoys sailing, skiing, running and spending time with family and friends. Her family resides with their two dogs, Jib and Skiff, and two cats, Harold and Baby.

Nicholas H Warendorf, D.V.M. and Owner
Dr. Nick Warendorf received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Middlebury College in 1991. He received his veterinary degree in 1996 from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he worked for two years as an associate veterinarian at a busy animal hospital in Brookline, before becoming a part of Old Derby Animal Hospital.
Dr. Warendorf's interests as a veterinarian include: dermatology and allergy treatment, gastro-intestinal diseases, lameness evaluations, and all types of surgery. Most of all, he enjoys developing strong relationships with his clients and their companions through education and caring.
A resident of the south shore, Dr. Warendorf's hobbies include playing tennis, working in the yard, following professional baseball and kayaking on the North River. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Kiersten, their two beautiful children; Jack and Lily, and their Shih Tzu, Cassie!

Susan T Floyd, V.M.D.
Dr. Susan Floyd received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Washington University in St Louis in 1987. In 1992 she received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Since then Dr. Floyd has practiced in a Feline practice for six years in Connecticut and now has been practicing Feline and Canine medicine in Massachusetts since then. Dr. Floyd's professional interests include surgery, Penn-Hip evaluations and feline medicine. Her hobbies include canine obedience competition with her German Shepherd, Trott; confirmation showing with her Smooth Coated Collie, Willie; and gardening. Dr. Floyd also has two cats, Norman and Eddie.

Jennifer J Johnson, D.V.M.
Dr. Jennifer Johnson graduated from Bates College with a B.S. in Biology in 1988. She worked as a research technician in a calcium and bone metabolism laboratory and spent time traveling before attending Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her DVM with thesis in 1995 and then completed a one year internship in emergency medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in 1996. Dr. Johnson spent the next eight years working as an associate and/or relief veterinarian in New Jersey and at several local Massachusetts veterinary hospitals. She is excited to be at Old Derby Animal Hospital. Dr. Johnson's professional interests and experiences involve small animal medicine and surgery. She also retains an interest in wildlife medicine and conservation, and has spent time working on research projects in Australia and Central Africa. Dr. Johnson's family includes her Border Collie, Cleo and two cats Penny and Patches. She enjoys running, drawing, gardening, and travel.

Reverdy L. Munson, D.V.M.
Dr. Munson grew up in the Rochester area of New York State. Both grandparents were farmers and it was the experience of caring for the farm animals that stimulated the interest in becoming a veterinarian. He attended Cornell University and graduated with a B.S from the College of Agriculture and a DVM from NYS College of Veterinary Medicine, fulfilling a dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Upon graduation he worked for a large and small animal practice in Bantam, CT. Then he worked at a small animal practice on Long Island and developed an equine practice. After a few years he moved to Oxford, CT and developed a small animal practice.
Dr. Munson's life has been blessed. He married his high school sweetheart, Penny while at Cornell and they had two sons. Michael and his wife, Crystal live in Duxbury, MA and have two daughters, Emilie and Lucy. Paul and his wife Sue live in Cohasset, MA and have a son Zachary. The Munson's recently moved to Cohasset, MA to be close to the family.

Management
Nancy, Practice Manager
Nancy started at Old Derby as Practice Manager in March 2007. She started her career in Corporate America but always knew she wanted to be involved in an animal related field. She left Corporate America in 2002 and started a dog walking and pet sitting company called South Shore Pet Nannies that serviced Southern, MA. Nancy developed a close networking relationship with Old Derby through her many years of owning SSPN. Nancy sold SSPN at the end of 2006. And then happily joined Old Derby's staff in March 2007. Nancy is the proud owner of 2 dogs, Holly and Magner and 4 cats; Clarence, Lenny, Chou-Chou and Princess.
Beth, Office Manager
Beth received her B.A. in English/Speech Communications from Boston College in 1984. She worked with several large retail organizations in management, buying and sales/merchandising before becoming a full time Mom to her three boys in Hingham. Before joining the team at Old Derby as Office Manager, she worked as a professional pet sitter and dog walker specializing in playgroups for larger dogs. She is loved by two yellow labs named Cody and Ollie. They have confirmed her belief that all boys have better manners when they eat right, get plenty of exercise and listen to their mother. She enjoys long walks with her dogs, reading and being with her family.
Technicians
Kirsten, Technician Supervisor
Kirsten has been with Old Derby since 2001 as a surgical technician. Her responsibilities include scheduling all of the surgeries and assisting in the operating room. Kirsten has many years experience with animals and has been an asset to multiple rescue organizations. She enjoys furthering her knowledge by reading veterinary publications and attending continuing education seminars. Kirsten shares her life with ten cats, including her show cat QGM St. Croix's Crown of Kasha, and her dog, Hops.
Lynn, Technician
Lynn has worked at Old Derby since 1985. She started as a kennel attendant and has progressed to technician, book keeper, and inventory/new product coordinator. Lynn has three Shih Tzus: Peaches, Charlotte and Puck. The newest member of the family, Pia is a beautiful French Bulldog. Over the years she has taken foster animals into her home and has placed them with loving families. Lynn has special interests in animal behavior and training. Lynn also enjoys balancing her role as a mother and technician while expanding her knowledge of animal care.
Carrie, Technician
In 1986 Carrie started at Old Derby as a kennel attendant; through the years along with training she became head surgical/dental technician. Carrie spent 3 years at Mt. Ida College where she took veterinary technician classes and has enjoyed continuing her education while working full time. Carrie's special pet interests include: senior care, dentistry, puppy care, client education and weight control. She has five Shih Tzus: Ying-Su, Kai-Ling, Tai, Jailee and Peng Yu. Carrie also cares for a three-legged cat, Captain Jack. Some of her time is spent in fostering pets until they are placed in excellent homes. Carrie loves what she does and finds great satisfaction in working with animals.
Monica, Technician
Monica started as a technician at Old Derby Animal Hospital in 1986 after receiving her associate's degree in Animal Science from Becker College. Monica's current pet is a mixed breed, with an attitude, named Java. She also hasadopted a three legged cat named Spike. Monica's favorite part of her position at Old Derby is educating clients on how to best care for their pets. She also has a large interest in pet behavior. Monica feels that helping pets fit into the household is a very important part of making a great bond.
Lydia, Technician
Lydia has been working at Old Derby Animal Hospital since 2003 as a veterinary technician. She has four awesome cats at home: Tsunami, Gage, Gale, and Lightning. She also cares for six ducks and a horse named Jynci. Lydia adopted a Shetland Sheepdog named Indy and is enjoying her first dog. Lydia is looking forward to achieving her technician certification and also becoming certified as a wildlife rehabilitator. Animal health care, public education and recycling are Lydia's priorities as a technician at Old Derby Animal Hospital.
Becca, Technician
Rebecca joined Old Derby Animal Hospital in September 2006 as a veterinary technician. Her experiences include working in New Hampshire for two veterinary practices, one which was an equine practice. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Franklin Pierce College in 2004. Rebecca currently owns a herd of animals including seven horses (Dundee, Kandy, Brew, Chance Encounter, Clover's Royal Flush, Jeb, and Stork), shares five cats with her family and owns six of her own cats and has four dogs (Blue, Monroe, Hershey, and Guinness), and a rabbit (Lili), and a hamster named Spaz. Rebecca is interested in radiology, internal medicine, and surgery, but her main goal is to become an equine veterinarian. She is currently seeking to get into veterinary school.
Liz, Technician & Kennel Attendant
Elizabeth joined the Old Derby staff in July 2007 as a veterinary technician. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2003 and a Master's of Science degree in geology from the University of Michigan in 2005. Elizabeth has worked at many animal rescue organizations and veterinary hospitals during her education and is excited about continuing to work with animals at Old Derby. In addition, Elizabeth teaches geology and biology courses at Massasoit Community College as an adjunct faculty member. She lives in Quincy with her husband and 5 rescues: hound dogs Bryce and Daisy, and cats Gus, Finnian, and Elflin.
Receptionists
Ashley, Reception Supervisor
Ashley joined our staff in May of 2006. She has loved her time here working closely with both animals and people. Ashley lives with her boyfriend, her Siamese mix Frankie Blue Eyes and her St. Croix rescue puppy, Mamma Mia. In her spare time Ashley works a part time job at a paintball store, loves to go fishing and spend time with friends and family.
Sandra, Receptionist
Sandra moved from Scotland in 1999 and joined the Old Derby staff in June 2005. Having spent a major part of her life working in real estate, she has now transitioned happily into working with animals. Sandra is proud Mum to Kramer, a rescued Great Dane Mix, and L.B., a rescued Hound Mix. Travel and crafting are her hobbies.
Debbie, Receptionist
Debbie joined the Old Derby Animal Hospital as a receptionist in May 2006. In addition to being a mother of three wonderful children, she is also the proud owner of 2 mischievous cats Cookie and Flo. She added an energetic German Shepherd named Zena to her animal brood 2 years ago. Debbie's background is varied, ranging from licenses in cosmetology and aesthetics, to owning a successful business with her husband on the South Shore.
Lauren, Receptionist
Lauren comes from a legal working background and she is currently a graduate student at Suffolk University in Boston. She lives in Norwell with her family, her cat Katie, and her two dogs, Lulu a Lab/Husky mix, and Logan, a Siberian Husky. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and reading.
Deb G, Receptionist
Debby joined us in December 2007. She has a background in animal rescue and customer service. Debby lives in Hanover with her daughter and extended family consisting of 3 dogs ( Nikki, Stacey, and Max). Six cats ( Gizmo, Lily, Mikey, Shortie, Billy, and Little Bear). Five horses (Denali, Trinket, Six, Tuffy, and Muncie the mini). And a couple of goats and chickens too. Some of her hobbies are hiking, traveling, and gardening.
Kennel Attendants
Jean, Kennel Manager
Jean has been a member of the Old Derby staff since August 2005 and is now the boarding coordinator of the Inn at Old Derby. Jean has many years of experience in the animal care field; including fifteen years worth of service to different rescue organizations and owning a successful pet sitting business for six years. Jean has two dogs Oreo, a Border Collie and Kaleigh, an Australian Shepherd as well as seven cats; Rajah, Shelby, Tiramisu, Karma, Olive, Ricky Bobby and Cal. Jean enjoys grooming and showing a few of her cats at area cat shows. Jean is also a big New England Patriots fan!
Lisa, Kennel Attendant
Lisa started working at Old Derby in September 2007. Before Old Derby, Lisa spent 12 years working in elder care. When not caring for pets in our kennel, Lisa is busy raising three boys and resides in Weymouth. Her hobbies include travel and spending time with family and friends. Lisa's pet family includes 3 dogs, Ellie, Tutt and Bandit and three cats, Sammy, Lucy and Muffin.
Andrea, Kennel Attendant & Receptionist
Andrea enjoys working upstairs at reception and also downstairs as a kennel attendant. She has been an avid animal lover since she was a child and has recently taken a particular interest in animal behavior. She followed this interest by studying anthropology and primatology at Bridgewater State College. Currently, Andrea is counting the days to the time when her living situation will allow her to have a cat, dog, or rabbit (or all three) of her own. Until that time comes Andrea enjoys taking care of the animals at Old Derby.
Mary Ann, Kennel Attendant
Mary Ann joined the staff in 2007 and is enjoying the challenge of this new experience. Previously the years were spent raising a family, including many dogs both pure and mixed breeds. A widow for many years with four children and five grandchildren all living out of state, she enjoys gardening, cooking and sewing. Also a sports fan she follows baseball, college basketball and especially tennis, which she plays every week. Mary Ann finds being at Old Derby helps to fill the void left by the death of Nikki, a Vizsla, her best friend for twelve years.
Maura, Kennel Attendant
Maura started at Old Derby in December 2007. Maura is a Canine Science Major at the Norfolk Agricultural High School. She has spent time volunteering at the Massachusetts Humane Shelter in Weymouth. Maura plans to pursue a career working with animals and she has a huge love of dogs!
